Burnt Orange Theatre Co. introduced their inaugural company to The Camden Fringe in 2019, with a production of Fin Kennedy’s Fast.

Written in collaboration with Y Touring Theatre in 2014, Fin Kennedy’s Fast is one that champions young voices. It mirrors the amazing work young people are continuing to do.

It shows that young voices are key, and that’s why people should care.

FAST - 2019

Created, rehearsed and performed in one week as part of Camden Fringe 2019

‘Fast’ is about the life of a young student (Cara) whose life is ripped apart by the big supermarkets and the fast-food industry. After her class participates in a 24-hour charity fast, she decides to go on a hunger strike to force her community to listen to her and take action.

Fast was directed by Ella and Rosie for Burnt Orange, with assistant direction from Ashen Gupta and Felix Connolly.
