TEA AND PHOTOGRAPHS
Barons Court Theatre, May 25th-27th 2023
Two new plays exploring growing up and grief with the beautiful, heartfelt honesty that comes from a young person’s perspective.
Death is a part of life, there's no avoiding it; that doesn't stop it from temporarily turning your world into a shit show.
Set across school counselling sessions, Chloe Coombes’ Tea explores the dynamic between Miss P and Millie, highlighting what it’s like to be in school and grieving, as Miss P battles with the school for additional hours.
Cherry Eckel’s Photographs uses nuanced, “delicately written” interweaving monologues to explore three
sisters grappling with life, death, loneliness and the horrifying revelation that your parents are people too.
June, Sydney and Bea's lives are thrown into disarray in the run-up to their grandmother's funeral, while
seventeen-year-old Millie is grieving the recent loss of her best friend and struggling to adjust back into
education.
"So I found this photo... I want to ask about it. But I don't."
